Chapter Ten

Laurel woke, and for a brief moment, she thought everything was as it had been. The soreness between her thighs brought the night before flooding back into her consciousness. It had been everything she wanted, and then the bomb had gone off and what she had thought was between her and Connor had turned into something between her and two other men as well. The faces of Tyler and Brent joined Connor’s, staring out at her from her subconscious. With a moan, she turned her face into the pillow, willing them to leave her and not have her panting for them. However, those beautiful faces persisted until she sat up on the side of the bed and literally shook herself. Right now, all she should be thinking about was Amy and not this newfound obsession she had developed for the three men who had each endeared himself to her, even the cool, aloof Tyler.

He was the epitome of the man’s man, and she knew of the three men, he was the most adept at hiding his feelings by using sarcasm and humor. Maybe that was why she found herself drawn to him, because she, too, had learned to hide her feelings. Had someone hurt him? She didn’t know, but she knew that she wanted him. His eyes told her things that he had not been able to verbalize and for now, that was enough to have her imagination running wild. She needed a shower. The scent of her and Connor’s lovemaking, or whatever it was, still clung to her body in addition to her own early morning arousal brought on by thoughts of the night before. Pulling herself up, she went into the bathroom and didn’t come out until she was cleansed of everything but the memories of what had transpired after Tyler and Brent had found her and Connor in the kitchen.

She felt her nipples tighten and her pussy ache. There was something so erotic and naughty about what the three men had proposed. She dreaded and couldn’t wait to see them all at the same time.

Dressing in a pair of black jeans and a light-pink, loose blouse, she took a deep breath and opened the bedroom door. She strained to hear if they were in the kitchen, but all was quiet. Maybe they were all still sleeping even though according to her iPhone it was well after eleven o’clock. Walking slowly, she made her way into the kitchen. No one was there, but a piece of paper was on the table with a pill beside it.

Lifting it, she saw it was addressed to her.
